Competitive Grant Overview

The Community Foundation awards grants of varying sizes based upon community need and organizational abilities to impact those needs. Competitive Grants have been awarded in amounts ranging from a few hundred dollars to $25,000. Click here to view descriptions of Grants in Action.

Economic Response (ER) Initiative

To strategically respond to the economic climate, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole has established a special funding initiative to support organizations that are working with vulnerable families and individuals to address the critical issues of emergency financial assistance, housing, hunger, safety, employment or healthcare.  The Economic Response Initiative will provide short-term financial support to nonprofit organizations that are facing a significant shortfall in their capacity to provide services.

Community Foundation Competitive Grants
Thanks to the generosity of local donors through Old Bill's Fun Run for Charities and donors that contribute directly to the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, we are able to grant approximately $250,000 - $400,000 through our Competitive Grants program. Requests from local nonprofits are accepted twice a year, and our committee of diverse community volunteers recommends these grant awards.

The next application deadline is March 26, 2010 at 5:00 pm.  Our on-line instructions and application will be available on March 1.

Micro-Grant Program
The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole recognizes that a small amount of money made at the right time can have a big impact on our community. Grant requests for $1,000 or less are considered micro-grants. Projects with an urgent, unexpected need are also encouraged to apply for a micro-grant.
