About Ian MacLeod

Ian MacLeod serves as Senior Advisor at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe.  Ian focuses on investments in the information/business services sector with an emphasis on software. Prior to joining WCAS in 2014, Ian was a partner at Qatalyst Partners where he led the firm's strategic advisory efforts in the software and information services sector. Before joining Qatalyst, he spent several years at Goldman Sachs as Global Head of Software Investment Banking leading the firm's advisory and financing efforts in the software sector. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ian spent several years as a General Partner at ABS Capital Partners focusing on investments in software. He currently serves on two non-profit boards (Saint Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco, CA; Friends of the Bridger-Teton, WY) and previously served on the national board of Summer Search. He received a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, Chapel Hill.
