About Orion Bellorado

Orion was born in Jackson Hole, WY and raised in the tourism industry: both service and culinary. After many years working in the kitchens and bakeries of Jackson Hole he joined forces with Ian McGregor to establish Mr. McGregor’s Garden - a local pie and quiche phenomena. For the next 10 years Orion worked and built out this business, eventually spinning it out into Roots Kitchen & Cannery, a nationally distributed jam and pickle manufacturer.

During this time Orion attained a M.S. in Physics & M.S. Education & Curriculum Development. He has worked for nearly a decade as a high school math and physics teacher at Jackson Hole High School. He also volunteered as treasurer for the Wyoming Young Democrats and the Community Foundation Grants Committee. Pooling all these skills and passions, Orion joined forces with Ian again in 2017 to form Farmstead Cider, with the intention of creating a locally-grown agriculturally-based business that sells products, reduces human/wildlife conflict and ultimately brings guests onto the “farm” to experience the process of cultivation.
