About Victor Hernandez
Victor attended the University of Wyoming where he received his bachelors in both Psychology and Spanish Linguistics. During his time at UWYO he became involved in organizations that matched similar values as the CFJH - such as the student government, where he was elected as a student senator and chaired several academic scholarship committees. In addition, he was a social work student intern for the Family and Child Legal Advocacy Clinic at the University of Wyoming College of Law in Laramie. There he worked closely with the clinic director and student attorneys to provide free legal representation to individuals with family law matters. Originally from Tlaxcala, Mexico, Victor immigrated to the United States as a child and grew up in Jackson. He is a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program recipient. He is also active within the Jackson community, currently being a member of the WYLD Advisory Board for the Jackson Hole Land Trust, serving as the Family Engagement Coordinator for The Teton Literacy Center and being a Community Health Worker for the Teton County Health Department. Victor’s favorite thing about being involved in the community is engaging with people who have made Jackson their home.
