About Mari Allan Hanna

Mari Allan grew up in Texas and studied biology, education, and urban planning at UT Austin. She has 20 years of experience in both classroom teaching and community outreach, with a focus on environment and sustainability.

Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Mari Allan worked in nonprofit outreach and programming for a number of local organizations, including Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling and Slow Food in the Tetons. She is excited to join the CFJH team and more broadly support nonprofit initiatives across the valley.

Mari Allan moved to Jackson with her husband, two sons, and their wiener dog in 2014 and can no longer imagine a life without mountains, hiking, cross country skiing, and alpine gardening.
