Giv­ing To Our Strate­gic Initiatives

What began with the Com­mu­ni­ty Emer­gency Response Fund in 2020 has evolved into a key strate­gic objec­tive of our orga­ni­za­tion through Strate­gic Ini­tia­tives. We are active­ly work­ing on iden­ti­fy­ing the root caus­es of key com­mu­ni­ty issues, using data to pri­or­i­tize the oppor­tu­ni­ties where we can impact the issues, con­ven­ing diverse voic­es to devel­op solu­tions, and then fund­ing these solu­tions. Help us move the nee­dle in our com­mu­ni­ty by giv­ing to ini­tia­tives today.

Giv­ing To Old Bill’s

In 1997, an anony­mous cou­ple donat­ed $500,000 to cre­ate an inno­v­a­tive, col­lab­o­ra­tive fundrais­er that sup­ports all local non­prof­its by inspir­ing every­one to give: Old Bill’s Fun Run. They haven’t missed a year since.

Today, one out of every three house­holds par­tic­i­pates in this com­mu­ni­ty event and its asso­ci­at­ed giv­ing peri­od. Whether it’s $2 from a pig­gy bank or $2 mil­lion from a fam­i­ly foun­da­tion, all gifts are impor­tant and impact the com­mu­ni­ty. The giv­ing sea­son runs annu­al­ly from mid-August through mid-Sep­tem­ber. Giv­ing to Scholarships

The Com­mu­ni­ty Foun­da­tion of Jack­son Hole man­ages a num­ber of annu­al schol­ar­ships sup­port­ing high­er edu­ca­tion oppor­tu­ni­ties for both local and region­al stu­dents through the Teton Coun­ty Schol­ar­ship Pro­gram in part­ner­ship with Fund for Pub­lic Edu­ca­tion. You can sup­port a stu­dent in need by con­tribut­ing to an exist­ing schol­ar­ship fund.

Giv­ing Circles

Col­lec­tive giv­ing through a giv­ing cir­cle is a fast-grow­ing form of par­tic­i­pa­to­ry phil­an­thropy, which brings togeth­er a group of peo­ple with shared inter­ests to col­lec­tive­ly dis­cuss and decide where to make a char­i­ta­ble gift. There are a num­ber of local giv­ing cir­cles, some of which are admin­is­tered by the Com­mu­ni­ty Foun­da­tion of Jack­son Hole and some that exist inde­pen­dent­ly. Con­tact us to learn more.
