Giving To Our Strategic Initiatives
What began with the Community Emergency Response Fund in 2020 has evolved into a key strategic objective of our organization through Strategic Initiatives. We are actively working on identifying the root causes of key community issues, using data to prioritize the opportunities where we can impact the issues, convening diverse voices to develop solutions, and then funding these solutions. Help us move the needle in our community by giving to initiatives today.
Giving To Old Bill’s
In 1997, an anonymous couple donated $500,000 to create an innovative, collaborative fundraiser that supports all local nonprofits by inspiring everyone to give: Old Bill’s Fun Run. They haven’t missed a year since.
Today, one out of every three households participates in this community event and its associated giving period. Whether it’s $2 from a piggy bank or $2 million from a family foundation, all gifts are important and impact the community. The giving season runs annually from mid-August through mid-September. Join our mailing list to receive all Old Bill’s event and fundraising updates or contact us today to learn about becoming a CoChallenger.
Giving to Scholarships
The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole manages a number of annual scholarships supporting higher education opportunities for both local and regional students through the Teton County Scholarship Program in partnership with Fund for Public Education. You can support a student in need by contributing to an existing scholarship fund.
Giving Circles
Collective giving through a giving circle is a fast-growing form of participatory philanthropy, which brings together a group of people with shared interests to collectively discuss and decide where to make a charitable gift. There are a number of local giving circles, some of which are administered by the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole and some that exist independently. Contact us to learn more.
