The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole announced that Old Bill’s Fun Run 2024 raised a total of $23,400,067 in support of local nonprofits. This effort represents 23,597 individual gifts from 4,009 donors. The match pool, created with gifts from Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill, CoChallengers and Friends totaled $5,585,938, and participating organizations received $17,814,129 in gifts designated specifically for them. Over the last 28 years, Old Bill’s has generated a total of $280,060,501 for Teton County nonprofits.

Old Bill’s embodies the spirit of our community — it’s vibrant, supportive, and full of energy,” said Community Foundation President Laurie Andrews. It’s truly inspiring to be part of this event and witness how our community comes together for the benefit of our nonprofits and the diverse causes they champion.”

Participating organizations received a 65.6% matching grant through Old Bill’s this year, which means that nonprofits that raised $30,000 or more in designated gifts received a matching grant of $19,670 from the Community Foundation. Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill generously provided the first $1,000,000 in matching funds for this year’s event. Since the event’s inception, Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill have donated $16,000,000 to the match pool. This Giving Season 16 CoChallengers donated to the Old Bill’s Match Fund for the first time and four increased their gift from last year. In total, a record 107 CoChallengers partnered with Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill this year. CoChallengers and Friends of the Match do not designate their gifts for specific nonprofits, and instead, their gifts provide the matching grants that all participating nonprofits are eligible to receive.

Old Bill’s unites our community in support of local nonprofits and the vital work they do,” said Julie O’Halloran, Board Chair of the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. The incredible generosity of thousands of community members makes this event possible year after year.”

The Community Foundation fundraises the entirety of the Match Fund, which provides Old Bill’s matching grants, covers administration for the event, making Old Bill’s free for everyone, and supports the Foundation’s grants programs.

Thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Old Bill, the CoChallengers, nonprofits, and the donors and volunteers who make this event successful.

On Wednesday, October 23, the Community Foundation held its Annual Awards Party at The Center where participating nonprofits were invited to pick up their grant award checks and celebrate this year’s banner Giving Season. During the program, Teton Music School’s Youth Choir performed a rousing rendition of I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” for the nonprofit audience.
