One22 Announces Support for Commuters Affected by Teton Pass Closure
Media Release from One22 Resource Center
One22 Resource Center has opened a Temporary Emergency Relief for Commuters (TERC) program to help Teton Valley commuters offset increased costs as a result of the Teton Pass closure. At One22, emergency response is part of our daily rhythm. Our programs and services are designed to serve our neighbors both in times of everyday hardship and full-blown emergencies. When a crisis like this arises, that’s what we’re here for.
TERC is an expansion of the emergency assistance One22 is known for and includes two tiers:
1. A one-time Quick Relief stipend of $250 for gas or groceries (in the form of a gift card). Applications are open now at one22jh.org/get-help/terc through July 15, or until a functional road along Teton Pass is opened.
2. Further assistance for those with more extensive needs than what Quick Relief can offer will be available via Emergency Relief. This can include support for the costs of extended childcare, transportation, rent or other burdens associated with the closure. Applications for Emergency Relief will be available soon.
Both tiers of TERC are open to residents of Teton Valley (Teton County, ID and Alta, WY) who work at least 30 hours per week in Teton County, WY. The program is intended for those who do not have access to stipends or support through their employer.
Programs and services from One22 have always been available to those who live or work in Teton County, WY, however TERC temporarily expands access to that assistance. The program is made possible by major funding from the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole’s Community Emergency Response Fund (CERF), as well as numerous contributors.
One22 is grateful for our partnership with the Community Resource Center of Teton Valley (CRCTV), who is providing outreach and staff support for this program. To increase access to One22 resources, CRCTV will serve alongside One22 as navigators to One22 online applications for support.
