One22 Announces Support for Commuters Affected by Teton Pass Closure

One22 Resource Cen­ter has opened a Tem­po­rary Emer­gency Relief for Com­muters (TERC) pro­gram to help Teton Val­ley com­muters off­set increased costs as a result of the Teton Pass clo­sure. At One22, emer­gency response is part of our dai­ly rhythm. Our pro­grams and ser­vices are designed to serve our neigh­bors both in times of every­day hard­ship and full-blown emer­gen­cies. When a cri­sis like this aris­es, that’s what we’re here for.

TERC is an expan­sion of the emer­gency assis­tance One22 is known for and includes two tiers:

1. A one-time Quick Relief stipend of $250 for gas or gro­ceries (in the form of a gift card). Appli­ca­tions are open now at one22jh​.org/​g​e​t​-​h​e​l​p​/terc through July 15, or until a func­tion­al road along Teton Pass is opened.

2. Fur­ther assis­tance for those with more exten­sive needs than what Quick Relief can offer will be avail­able via Emer­gency Relief. This can include sup­port for the costs of extend­ed child­care, trans­porta­tion, rent or oth­er bur­dens asso­ci­at­ed with the clo­sure. Appli­ca­tions for Emer­gency Relief will be avail­able soon.

Both tiers of TERC are open to res­i­dents of Teton Val­ley (Teton Coun­ty, ID and Alta, WY) who work at least 30 hours per week in Teton Coun­ty, WY. The pro­gram is intend­ed for those who do not have access to stipends or sup­port through their employer.

Pro­grams and ser­vices from One22 have always been avail­able to those who live or work in Teton Coun­ty, WY, how­ev­er TERC tem­porar­i­ly expands access to that assis­tance. The pro­gram is made pos­si­ble by major fund­ing from the Com­mu­ni­ty Foun­da­tion of Jack­son Hole’s Com­mu­ni­ty Emer­gency Response Fund (CERF), as well as numer­ous contributors.

One22 is grate­ful for our part­ner­ship with the Com­mu­ni­ty Resource Cen­ter of Teton Val­ley (CRCTV), who is pro­vid­ing out­reach and staff sup­port for this pro­gram. To increase access to One22 resources, CRCTV will serve along­side One22 as nav­i­ga­tors to One22 online appli­ca­tions for support.
