BECOME a LOCAL VOLUNTEER with VITA

        (VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE)

 

     Learn to prepare taxes and make a difference in your community at the same time.  Volunteer to help your community by preparing taxes free of charge with the local Jackson Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA).

 

     Join an experienced team of about 14 volunteers who have been helping the local community for well over ten years.  We will have sessions three days a week at the Senior Center of JH during tax season (January-April), but you can choose to volunteer whenever you like.  Some of the work can be completed at home.

 

     You will receive training to provide free tax help for low-to-moderate income families who need assistance preparing their tax returns (December-January).
